You’re very welcome englishman; I’m pleased to hear that you find it useful. I am learning quite a lot, too. When I finish, I will, with the benefit of hindsight, spend some time considering much of the extraordinary narrative practice employed by Fuentes – particularly the fluidity of the narrative voice; tense; and gender (the prepositions, or lack of them). The prose doesn’t follow our English sense of grammatical syntax and, I believe, is all the richer for it – I find it has a beautiful rhythm, a poetic fluidity…
